In America, the First Amendment was authored to protect both popular and unpopular speech -- resulting in the free exchange of thoughts, concepts, opinions and ideas with the hope that such a free exchange would result in a progressive, healthy society. What better tool to openly share thoughts, opinions and ideas than the World Wide Web? Unfortunately there is a considerably large group of people who believe that the Internet is too open -- that it needs to be restrained and many of its users silenced. By joining the Internet Freedom Association, you will be helping to provide the means necessary to keep these enemies of online freedom at bay.
