Originally opened in April of 2000 by an AVS webmaster, the site was slow to develop, but soon gained a reputation as a quality resource listing site.
By January 2001, the site had a list of close to 500 resources of all types and a good amount of traffic. The original owner sold the site to the Lyford Group. Lyford well known as the largest AVS webmaster company, continued to operate the site with out changes for close to a year after the purchase.
